It might not make a difference when one person does it, but it does when many people make the same choice and make good on it. Again, it's all about influencing the bottom line. If hiring an antisemite significantly affects sales, they'll think twice before doing it again.
As for the other point I was going to make, the more exposure someone with dangerous opinions gets, the more those same opinions spread. People listen to him. And the more impressionable fans will be swayed by what he says.

Eh, I see your point here, but I don't think this guy in particular was trying to recruit people into his ideology, nor will he get influential enough to sway the minds of impressionable fans. If things get to that point, then I'll probably support you on some level.
