I get that you're trying to spread a good message, and that's great. I'm no expert, but you missed the person for this. Etika suffered mental illnesses from just playing his online persona. Nobody canceled him. They just wanted to get him to get off social media for his sanity.

I'm happy to finally see a reaction to this that isn't just cussing @MatPatGT out. Give him a break guys, jeez...

cancel culture is basically when people “cancel” someone. like bullying. block them out. turn people against them stop associating them. it’s really gross and toxic and hurt so many people. it’s the biggest social media and online bullying that i’ve seen happen

I think that's actually really important. However, I'm fairly certain his death was not just cancel culture? If you also talk about the impact of social media on mental health and the culture surrounding it, I think that would work.

“Cancel culture” is just a hype term for the impact of soulless pseudo-humans (or “drones”, or “vultures”) on a human’s (that is a real person with feelings) mental health and how they use social media to make it happen quicker and worse.

Uum... I would delete this post if I were you. Cancel culture didn't cause Etika's death; mental health did. I'm all for spreading the right message about content creators, but I think Etika and everybody else on the Internet would appreciate it more if you did it correctly.

God, this thread is giving me anxiety, two content creators I deeply respect not understanding each other's points.
