If your YouTube video gets demonetized YouTube does not promote it in recommend. Meaning your YouTube video & channel can’t grow. It’s not just “money” it’s about making content that gets seen.https://twitter.com/KoolieisKool/status/1121816303231066112 …

Just wanted to clarify that our recommendations and search & discovery systems do not look at a video’s monetization status. So a yellow icon wouldn't limit a video in recommendations. More details about this here: https://yt.be/help/i2EY

This is false,
@TeamYouTube I have recorded meetings and statements from Youtube directly that confirms if a video is not suitable for all advertisers, it WILL NOT be recommended to all audiences. This is already a known fact. Brand-friendly content is pushed to the top.13 replies 40 retweets 1,068 likes -

TeamYouTube added,
TeamYouTubeVerified account @TeamYouTubeReplying to @RektWithStyle @KEEMSTARCorrelation /= causation is a great way to think about it actually. If the video has mature content then it may not be widely recommended across all audiences. Separately, it may have a yellow icon for a similar reason. But demonetized videos can be widely recommended too!11 replies 7 retweets 79 likes -

How is it not correct? You stated “If the video has mature content then it may not be widely recommended to all audiences.” I stated, “If a video is not suitable for all advertisers, it will not be recommended to all audiences.” We literally confirmed the same thing.

Ah! So totally agree we're saying the same thing when it comes to certain types of videos aka videos with more mature themes, or that contain a lot of violence, raciness, etc – there's a greater chance those will be both demonetized and not recommended.

YouTubers can't swear without getting demonetized. If you're worried about what kids watch. There's YouTube kids for a reason start working on that app

Replying to @MasterminerXd @TeamYouTube and
YouTube should honestly only make the age gap available for humans 13+ for their entire website. So no kids should EVER have to enter at a Younger age EVER again especially if parents try to make an account for their kids who monitor that account will still be denied.
