Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.

Yes, he will conform. Things will be different, but if he wants to make money he is going to have to give in to certain things he didn’t like. He is in over his head though

His rationale for the 8.00 fee is that it will make it impossibly expensive to run bots on the platform. So that could be a good thing, but then the helpful bots might go away and some people's following could drop dramatically. For better or worse.

All social media dies in some form over time as new 💡emerge. This is an acceleration of the changes. It will live on, but won't be the same as what we have experienced. $8 ☑️ makes sense to me, but won't be defined the same nor as valuable - all it means is u pd $8 for a sub
