Analogy I'm thinking about.
The U.S is about to get hit with historic rate increases not seen in decades.
Maybe as many as three .75 basis point hikes.
Kind of like using CHEMO to kill the cancer (inflation).
But this will also take a toll on the patient (the economy and market).

I use the 8/21 crossover and macd crossover on the 30 minuye, 1 hour, and 2 hours charts. A big move come whenever both macd lines break above or below the 0 line.

if you’re old enough to remember being Volcker’ed, you might adjust that analogy to say the chemo on everybody killed everybody’s cancer, but the side effects only really hammered some people and not others.
The middle class took the side effects so everybody could get well.
