1) You have so many small stocks dropping.
Many can drop 50% in just days.
2) Volume is very low on many small stocks and spreads are big. Which means hard to sell on the bid for profits and no one to sell it to.

You can make good money trading the indexes and big cap stocks up and down and with puts and calls.
But It's insanely difficult for anyone to be trading small stocks long and be making big $ these days.
I doubt many are doing that these days.
