I've had stocks that I lost money on that went much higher after I sold for a loss. Then I've had stocks that i sold for a loss that just kept tanking. A lot has to do with how the major market is doing. For a losing trade to come back anytime soon. You need a bear market rally

As far as small stocks, well if an investor is committed to a small stock during a BULL market then sure, better have a good reason. Otherwise, nope, not the time for someone to hold small stocks speculatively because next thing you know reverse split, offering, delist etc.

I mean that happens even during bull markets. If you're one of the lucky ones then your stock gets pumped and you get to exit. But at that point it's a gamble.
