“Severe costs” like more sanctions? Germany won’t go along with any NS2 sanctions and if RUS has eastern Ukraine they have the pipelines NS2 was supposed to compete with anyways. We are currently in escalation mode and Biden determines where this goes. Doesn’t look good IMO
