If you go to cash when you feel the market is about to pivot and a bearish move is coming it's a conservative move. You can't lose only miss profits. If you are wrong you could lose money. Tell be other safer times to short again intraday in the future.

So why did I take profits on the late short covering bounce Friday and instead of going to cash went short? Well because even though I wasn't bullish on the market and the system says don't stay long for Tuesday's open you could always get a fake bounce.
question: my portfolio is about 65% of Blue Chip tech and the other 35% is cash to put into your style of investing - the day trades and short term buys. when you talk of going into cash, should I be doing that with the Blue Chips I own? Or let them ride for the long term?
