Yes but I would also look at the others like the 5 and 10 too for directions and of course candles are important with scalping besides using overbought/oversold/the Sma and volume.

I like using the 1 minute for entry and exit. The 5 minute shows you more of the direction of the trend. (Same with 10 and 15 minute time frames) I also like the 9 day and 21 day EMA for scalping. Also, the DMI indicator improved my game a lot with trading.
