That can happen sometimes. If a trading outfit jumps in too soon to short a Micro Float like $LVGN. The market could make them pay the price. Watch volume because that can ONLY happen if volume remains strong. If Volume drops with price then it's over.

My biggest question ...how do you know when the pump is over versus it being just a dip? Such as LGVN today. It looked like the pump was over, but it later came back with a vengeance.
Instead of the usual dump on these types of plays it saw an hour-long trading range of $6-7. That was enough time to let shorts know there’s some strength. That’s a short nightmare on low floats. The AH run was from the double bottom and bull strength from the first short cover
