That means if you have a margin account with Ameritrdae or many other brokers and you have less than $25.000 balance. If you make that 4th day trade in a 5 day period. That account can never be a margin account again.

Also the issue with margin accounts is they have margin requirement of 25% when the market is green and suddenly they bump it to 100% all of a sudden when the market is choppy or red. Forcing retail to liquidate and benefit market makers

There are plenty of other ways to get flagged to if you are new. Trading a non marginable stock without realizing and selling without the cash to cover. Ect ect.
