You NEVER want to be in a margin in account with a gun to your head that if you sell for a gain or loss.
That you will get restricted.
That puts you in a terrible spot and the industry will screw you.

I don't think so. I've been flagged for a while. It hasn't effected my trading.

What if you're in a margin account but you only use the money you have and don't buy on margin? And don't short or do anything that could take your account negative

I’ve got another roadblock at the moment. Good news is that I recently got past PDT hurdle—bad is now I have watch out for this crazy market in case I drop back down below the limit and lock myself out of trading for 3 months. Gotta play much smaller than usual, for now at least
