First thing I do is quickly read any recent news.
As you know many small stocks move on news. Even though as time goes on that news has no consequential bearing on changing the fundamentals of the co such as earnings etc
Day traders just like to use news as reasons to P&D Stocks.

Keep in mind that most Small/ Micro float/Priced stocks trading on Nasdaq I've already traded before.
