Some brokerages accounts will give you fake volume.
Ameritrade is notorious for this.
You have to know what looks real and what is a fake because they give you fake information to try to screw you over.

You will see Fake Bids more than Fake ASKS .
ASKS are usually real and a good signal on when to dump a stock or buy a stock.
Bids can help too if you know what to look for.
So keep in mind what looks real and what looks fake.
