So what it comes down too is that I've had to tweak my system recently which is a rare phenomenon because there have been many complexities lately in the market that are trumping any simplistic method.

That makes me feel a little better - I'm a noob to the market and I'm really struggling to find 'my' strategy. I'm hearing even from 20+ year traders that sometimes in this current market they feel like just tossing everything they thought they knew out the window in frustration.
