The computer program can keep dropping that ask price of 20,00 which will then keep dropping the price because there aren't enough buyers.
The stock can spike lower and take out stops on the way down including yours.

If you see a stock trading mild volume with 100 shares on the bid at $3.00 and 20,000 shares on the ask at $3.10.
If that's a real trade.
That's a really bad set up.
That means someone has to buy those 20,000 shares first before the stock can go higher.
