If gas prices reach over the 2008 highs in summer 2022 because of a war in the middle east then that and the 30% wage inflation we have now in Minimum wage jobs will do in the economy for sure. Gas prices only $3.09 now they were as high as $4.60 in summer 2008.

Could it be demand for gas goes down due to working from home? Or people just not traveling ? If not, why?

Electric vehicle worldwide adaption will alleviate gas prices. Wages going up temporary. Flood of Labor in September. Think toilet paper and paper towels. They cant get it off the shelves anymore.
