Pensions are funded by tax revenue by the municipalities. The workers put almost nothing to it. Without sales and income taxes from businesses from pandemic they cannot get funded. Teachers Police officers ect all still getting paid.

I gotta friend. Retired teamster dock worker. Lost a major chunk of his pension to union related fraud. He's getting his original monthly restore with returning of lost monies. He's happy.
