Buying puts is a great strategy to short the market. If you really go short on stocks,you have to be ultra careful. Market movement is totally beyond your control and if you get caught on the wrongside, losses could be insurmountable. With puts risk is limited. Take care.

Bear biz is seasonal, but when timed correctly can be extremely profitable and most quickly. Nevertheless, it took markets 15 yrs just to break even after dotcom bubble bust.
