Only time this formula doesn't work is when the industry uses illegal naked shorting programs to stop it and bring the stock down. You will know this by watching the ask prices. Big Blocks selling means the program is naked shorting. At that point you may have to abort the trade.

Many people don’t have level 2 so they cannot see these big blocks. I think another signal is big red candles going down hill. Then I know it is get shorted but no idea if it is naked shorting.
