I actually don't condone new traders trading with real money unless it's one share with free commissions.
If you have no experience and start trading on your own you will surely make mistakes and lose money in the long term.

Luckily I started learning in March with real money. I learned a lot at a time when everything was so low that there was pretty much no way to lose... until late summer when the industry naked shorted every swing I was in to the ground. Now I trade with one foot out the door.
