Short term trading is not the same as long term trading. Long term you are buying the best companies like $AAPL & $AMZN. You want to hold your winners forever. Short term day trading you are buying Junk... Scams. You want to make big % gains/sell them fast when they soar.

All traders big and small have a place in trading and investing. It makes markets. I’m predominantly a long term trader, but also trade other facets for profit. I showed a College student how to make 100% profit with a pen from a dollar store, Pd $1 sold for $2. He now trades.

What do you think about day trading big companies for minor 1-2% gains? Do that multiple times a day for a total of 8-10%

I’ve done that with $AAPL a few times. Even if you get stuck in a little dip, you know it will bounce back. Profit is profit whether from pennies or blue chips.

I like to use profits from day trading to buy long-term dividend paying blue chips. Pay yourself for life.
