Scalp trade is smallest of winning trades that most novice investors would not be planning as a strategy to make $ because you don't make much on trades and you need to use many trades in that process
Sometimes you scalp by default and make 2% on a trade you don't like anymore.

I always referred to scalping as buying a stock in an intraday uptrend and taking profit as volume slows or the uptrend starts to show weakness. Like today I saw EVs heating up in PM. I grabbed BLNK at 35.75 and sold it for 38.75 pretty shortly after market open. Is that a scalp?
