Hard to decide when to take profits on a day trade. Much has to do with how you are analyzing the trading action, volume etc.
Many times I sell 1/2 and take a 30%-50% profit then the stock comes back down and I give profits back.
You have to make that call to sell 1/2 or all.

Tougher when trading with less than 25k. Sometimes selling it all is one could do. Agree?
