This is the #1 problem that good Day traders have. They catch the right stocks. They are up 10%-20% and they don't sell. The stock then peaks / retreats and a winning trade turns into a losing one. You have to leave a sign on your DESK. "I'm making money SELL! Immediately"

I made the biggest mistake on this one did not lock in profits when it was in the $5.80 and $5.90 area. Greed took over and did not place a stop loss all my fault and I own it 100%

Are you a fan of trailing stops? I've recently started selling 50% on the pop and immediately setting a tight trailing stop for half or more of my remaining shares. Several times the split second pullback during a run got my shares but it seems safer than chasing it up with a SL.
