Why does ELON care if he opens his factory?
He doesn't have to sell a car?
He makes Billions just control TSLA stock.
No need for sales.

If you hope something is a joke, it's likely sarcasm. Along the same lines of "we don't need jobs because the stock market is doing just fine without them". There is a bit of truth in the Elon thing though. Has a past of misleading sales #/stock manipulation.
