The formula. Small stocks up on price and volume and big news is the best indicator. Focus on them. Those stocks are the ones in demand.

I all depends on the trading environment.
Right now I would jump into a hot stock even up 30%=40% if the move just started. Because they've been going up 100%-200%. Normally you want to get in earlier 10%-20%.
But this is for fast in and out day trading long.
