$AAPL would not be the first stock to short here anyway.
$AAPL, $MSFT etc will be last stocks to capitulate in any 2008-9 scenario.
They would be sold last as Money managers need to raise cash to pay for redemptions and over leveraged traders need to liquidate/pay margin calls
