It's hard to choose my favorite quote from this very nice text on work environment. "Sometimes there are emergent group cultures, in which those perceived to not work hard are excluded by the rest of the group"

Another thing is how to deal with "failures" & "mistakes". Starting in a histology lab with a psychology background I made a loooot of them. Now, I can explain what kind of "mistakes" can happen, their consequences & how to prevent them. I'm so happy I had that learning experience

I think one of the most important things I learned is not to be afraid of questions anymore when I present my work. Hard questions are the ones you haven't considered and those you can learn from the most & improve your work.

This week was busy, teaching a new colleague to prepare samples for TEM, meeting potential new PhDs & presenting my work at the research festival today. All this made me reflect on how much I have learned since I started my and it's a lot!

Prioritise! "my personal resources are limited and therefore trade-offs must be made each day. If I fail to make those difficult decisions, I risk burning myself out and can jeopardize the quality of my work."

So there is quite a number of 3D electron methods that can be used for different scientific questions. First thing is always to understand what you want to know and what you need.

Driving up to the campus I saw a beautiful sunrise. Now, we start the day with a lecture followed by a full day introduction to -SEM and hands-on Session in Amira.

Looking forward to tomorrow, when I finally get to learn about in hands on sessions. However a nice theoretical introduction is also very helpful =)

If u're interested to share your data or/& your code think about making it accessible in the sense that other people can easily understand the structure&what you did there. Very inspiring talk by Michael Hanke.
