As for what I would do, seize the means of production from the capitalists and run them for useful production instead of limitless profits for the top 2000 people in the country while everybody else dies a slow death, and people like you accuse us of not trying hard enough.
And the problem with your idea of taking control of everything is people can’t be trusted. Every society that has done that has proven that the lower class always always always get the shit end of the stick and there’s no way up. At least here in America you can work your way up.

"Every society" includes a small handful of countries that were mostly in the same circumstances that tried mostly the same thing. Not controlled experiments, not even close to the limits of possible different structures. We can find a solution or we can enjoy the crash.
