Several trans women in journalism considered Skylar a friendly colleague until the piece in question came out. It’s not about vetting. No one knew he had these views, and people feel blindsided.

Skylar made it clear near the top of his piece that he knew feelings might be hurt. He was very brave to write the piece. It was sincere and heartfelt, not violent or insulting. Now you are blacklisting him. Yet "punch/rape a terf" types are ok with you.
