The pandemic of the unvaccinated is a misnomer. It's a pandemic of the non-immune. More precisely, it's a series of regional outbreaks in select pockets of the country with low population immunity. Same take-home message though: If you're not immune, get immune by getting vaxed.

Good post, Doctor Makary. But that’s a tough sell when whatever one’s choice the Lockdown is indiscriminate, permanent and getting worse.

I would agree if: address the adverse reactions instead of ignoring them, explain longer term effects risk, provide informed consent, address liability protection, and why has it not been approved. That’s what we need to hear to gain trust. Thank you

also, herd immunity probably isn't what we're solving for and was never terribly realistic or well defined

No one speaks of the people who have natural immunity. Why?

And if you have had it and recovered, I’m guessing you’re good.

it is unclear, actually. Immunity from COVID infections range from none to some to lots. The boost of vaccination makes most lots.

More like a "pandemic of the untreated." Where is early treatment in the standard of care? Our health systems have failed us.
