In English politics the Right is basically just the Tories (Forget UKIP). The Left is split between the Greens, Lib Dems and Labour. Our winner-takes-all system means that, despite more people voting for parties on the Left, we have a PM/Government on the Right. Seem fair to you?
The whole idea of Brexit was to stop the right being split as UKIP formed their splinter party. So to discount their effect is a mistake. Reunification is almost complete but at the cost of the nation & effectively a far-right coup as UKIP faction take over the Tories.
