That’s actually good , since the public response would otherwise most probably be an extreme overreaction .

Some sections of the press are worse than others and usually trumpet an OMG style headline - only to dismantle most of the 'doom' in the article that follows. (Or eventually attribute it to some Gitwizard). I suppose it depends on who sees just headlines or who seeks facts.
