What strikes me is the number of countries today seeing their first real wave, 18 months in, and still not being prepared to deal with it. They rode a myth of Zero-Covid instead of laying any preparations for when it finally broke in, and learned little from others' experiences.

The number of lobotomy’s that people have had during this shit is incredible. If people would read for comprehension history that is, they’d realize the bubonic plague was with us for half a century. Yet, I can’t seem to readily recall major knock on panics in the latter decades!
