After lifting lockdowns on July 19, UK COVID cases decreased to 32K/day, even though these five popular lockdowners claimed it would cause cases to hit 100K/day: @globalhlthtwit, @chrischirp, @SMHopkins, @neil_ferguson & @Keir_Starmer.https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/five-experts-who-predicted-covid-cases-would-hit-100-000 …

Maybe the UK is hiding bodies like Florida (remember Rebekah Jones)? I mean the velocity of fearmongering to pad their pockets & prolongue their 15 min of relevance is astonishing.

Probably gonna switch to 'it's only been a week. Just you wait.' The 'freedom kills' hypothesis has to be defended at all costs. Maybe the UK can wake some germans up. We lead every neighboring country by 20 points on the Stringency Index even though cases are low. 🤷‍♂️

It's day #10 of this experiment. Whatever will happen, it's maybe a little bit early to draw conclusions for both sides. BTW, many many people are in quarantine right know. No Freedom for them. Might have an effect.

I suspect there are plenty of cases we don’t know about, because I’ve heard from two separate groups of UK friends that people are not getting tested if their symptoms are mild enough to avoid it, so they don’t inconvenience their close contacts with quarantine orders.

I think at least Ferguson knew well that the peak was close. His tactics were to (again) push for restriction and (again) claim success for „reversing a trend” that just happened. They others are just clueless.
