As a key architect of UKs deadly and inefficient lockdowns, @wellcometrust director @JeremyFarrar is now trying to blame the fiasco on @SunetraGupta and @carlheneghan, for having had one meeting in which @BorisJohnson ignored their advice. Ridiculous! 1/5

Scientific slander is always bad. It is extra concerning when done by
@JeremyFarrar, the director of one of the world's biggest funders of medical science. It silences other scientists who depend on him for funding. Dangerous for science and public health. 4/5Show this thread -
One lesson from this pandemic is that heads of research funding agencies, such as Anthony Fauci and
@JeremyFarrar, should not set public health policy. It stifles critically important scientific discourse, as scientists do not want to contradict the funders they depend on. 5/5Show this thread

Anybody in the UK should be able to see the
@gbdeclaration for what it was by now. We have basically replaced the ambiguous "shielding" with vaccines that not only "shield" but reduce transmission and extended coverage far further through society than shielding was proposed... -
...yet we see our hospitals and ICUs again filling, with 20-50 year olds. Even if shielding had miraculously protected the vulnerable (it obviously wouldnt) we would have lost so many young and still overwhelmed our hospitals chasing herd immunity.pic.twitter.com/YjIkSv1xUd

Didn't Gupta say it would be over May last year? Didn't Heneghan delete some of his tweets about the pandemic last year?
