I believe many scientists supported lockdowns for purely political reasons, as well as for personal benefit. (e.g. public attention, popularity)

From the beginning, decisions were made that some people were "essential" (i.e.working class) and they were forced to work to support the life/living of those that could work "remotely" Worse, those that got unemployment earned MORE than those that were forced to work. Shameful
