It seems public debate isn’t their thing. They’re more comfortable with mischaracterizing views that aren’t in line with the failed policies they advocate for.

Team 'focused protection' might get mistaken for team 'let her rip' a little less often, if the former - although a great idea in theory- never tends to work in practice and almost always morphs into the latter by default. Could it be because it doesn't work maybe??

I look forward to this debate. I hope it has two parts: (i) They let it rip and get everything out (including objectives), (ii) They then talk calmly about how a global inquiry could be designed to maximise learning.
