A year ago, there was no evidence that lockdowns would protect older high-risk people from Covid. Now there is evidence. They did not.

In South Africa we had the military enforcing lockdowns...we needed special permits to move around. And guess what... South Africa has one of the highest excess death in the world. But hey...try the more aggressive enforcement
