"Vigorous .. scientific debate should be encouraged, but smearing, slander, politicization, and conspiracy theories ... must be combatted. The future of science and society depends on it. If we fail, the 300-year Age of Enlightenment will come to an end."https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/18/one-of-the-lockdowns-greatest-casualties-could-be-science/ …

If you bring the debate into the public arena, you will get politics, bias and stupidity in the conversation. I'm sure You have seen that. Keep it among the Professionals until there is something like agreement on the basic issues.

This is not new to COVID. Look at what happens to any scientist that dares to challenge the theory of man made climate change.

Prof. Kulldorff, we do hope that it’s just hysteria mixed with dubious interests, but unfortunately there are too many hints pointing to CCP inand western elites influence

Yes, "scientific debate should be encouraged", although it is a pity to see so much scientific capacity being wasted or abused! 🤔https://twitter.com/Capobianco2005C/status/1353707712220114944?s=20 …

The #paradox is that the most ineffective, delayed, longer, wider, and harmful #lockdown(s) are caused by the "anti-lockdowners" and by those who do not allow to act properly and selectively with timely, shorter, smaller, and effective #lockdown(s)!🤔

Many people, likely the majority, don’t understand science or sci-debate. They don’t “believe” in it. Belief in magic, conspiracy theories, deities and 1 line repeatable political slogans requires much less intellectual processing power. Science needs to adopt 1 line slogans.
