Sweden did much worse than its Nordic neighbours, with Denmark registering just 1.5% excess mortality and Finland 1.0%. Norway had no excess mortality at all in 2020....and all 3 implemented lockdowns

Sweden is an extraordinarily healthy country. Their life expectancy is 81 years for men and 84 for women. CDC reports that US life expectancy is declining. 75.1 for males; 80.5 for females. Healthy people weather disease better.
