1 point is that lockdowns are not being handled well by the US or Europe. Taiwan, AUS, NZ have done amazing jobs with VERY LIMITED lockdowns lasting a few weeks then everything re-opens and folks enjoy life normally. US/EU don't require contact trace/quarantines so it's futile
