This was always the rational way; the way that would have saved most LIFE (& most lives). Politics, corruption, vested interests & the power of mass manipulation ensured it was never permitted to be seriously debated. So, the tragic dystopia goes on & on, getting worse & worse..

My infected father was sent to his nursing home from our local hospital, while my government was paying young and healthy people to stay home, not work and not get educated. It didn't make sense to me then, and it makes less sense to me now.

Unfortunately it makes perfectly sense, if you think that someone was in bad faith and wanted to make worse the situation

Pretty nuts that we locked down everyone and the elderly died in record numbers many of which were due to the policies of governors exposing them to positive cases. Yet these governors locked us down for our protection.

When this all started almost a year ago and I looked at the Italy outbreak data, I just assumed this would be our approach/response. I thought it was common sense, and frankly, it's the ONLY responsible approach.
