Media/Twitter/Facebook are full of silly smears and false conspiracy theories about the #GreatBarringtonDeclaration @gbdeclaration. Weirdly, it is actually a compliment, since it means that opponents lack public health arguments against focused protection.https://www.gazettenet.com/Letter-Martin-Kulldorff-38124617 …

There are plenty of arguments against focussed protection and plenty of problems caused by it. None of which have been addressed by proponents of GBD when asked.

I have been following this. All the original signers have been open to discussion before and since the Great Barrington Declaration. I would urge you to watch the discussion between Lipsitch and Bhattacharya on JAMA https://bit.ly/2NHviP6  long but worth the time invested

1/2 In Germany, the GBD is presented in a bad light and ideally not even discussed. In the television formats, one argue only about the severity of different lockdown measures. Lockdowns as the only sensible measure are not questioned.

2/2 Without a lockdown, exponential growth follows with thousands of deaths. Anyone who wants that, like the GBD, is acting irresponsibly and inhumanly. So the official story.

We've drug this out so long that in much of US is focused protection even warranted? At this point, my state should open fully n leave risk up to individual. GBD made more sense when a large chunk of vulnerable hadn't already been vaccinated/recovered/culled (sorry bad term)
