How many collateral deaths will be required before lockdown proponents realize they are on the wrong side of history? I guess if the collateral deaths are out of sight they are out of mind?https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-123716/v1 …

1/ I feel sad for those who fought to end the 28-year lockdown from 1961-1989 in fmr East Germany Back then,
#lockdown was a „painful thorn“ surrounded by democratic countries on many sides. Even JFK went there in 1963 to declare his unforgettable words, „Ich bin ein Berliner“pic.twitter.com/vez7GmyIHn

2/x How far have we fallen? Today,
#PRO_Lockdowners have re-branded#lockdowns as#virtuous, as if this were similar to waiting for a saviour What a pitiful, sad, gullible lot we collectively are for falling for#lockdowns as „essential corona measure“!https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ich_bin_ein_Berliner …

I have experienced this on a micro-level, working with TB (in particular) & other IDs. People become fearful & irrational. Including many clinicians. Once had a v. bizarre experience with some paediatricians over TB in a 15yo. Stigmatization develops quickly & easily.

I worked in mental health. That was worse than having the bubonic plague. People are scared that it is contagious even in this day and age.

“Heresy was seen as a worse problem than disease itself.” Frightening.

The most significant reason for this is that the politicians have someone else to blame other than themselves...
