It's about how to debate and is very smart
Don't strawman ur opponent
And in a sea of opinions, don't fight the pole, but the best version of the opposing argument
And school closures is a huge mistakehttps://www.statnews.com/2020/12/23/put-straw-man-pandemic-denial-out-of-its-misery/ …

I thought the GBD had been debunked (or whatever the correct English word is) by top scientists a while ago already? Still hanging in there then?

Do you agree, with vaccines now available, that the GBD is both obsolete and harmful?
-
Of course not! Lockdowns did not protect the old, leading to unnecessary deaths. We must protect them with both vaccines and the standard public health measures that were never implemented. In January, schools and universities should open for 5 days/week in-person teaching, etcpic.twitter.com/lNTo6AAzLZ

I’m grateful for the FAQs, but they did come later. They still avoid many key issues such as how many expected to die, be hospitalized & suffer long term health effects even *best case* in unshielded groups?https://www.demographicscience.ox.ac.uk/post/the-human-cost-of-natural-herd-immunity …

How is 3-6 months feasible? Can’t have it both ways & say you’re not encouraging infection but want to reach natural immunity quickly. Such transmission even in young would overwhelm hospitals:https://www.pnas.org/content/117/41/25897 …
