"The Canadian #COVID19 lockdown strategy is the worst assault on the working class in many decades .. Where it did “succeed” was in shifting the COVID-19 burden from affluent professionals to the less affluent working class"-@MartinKulldorff @SunetraGupta https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/opinion-canadas-covid-19-strategy-is-an-assault-on-the-working-class …pic.twitter.com/LgJlnCpflx

This data, taken alone, does not prove lockdown shifted burden, it only demonstrates there was a difference.

I would like to see data for job loss and economic disruption, where real burden shifting occurred.

I dont understand the graph, it says 30 highest and thirty lowest income neighbourhoods, how many people are represented in each of those? The deaths are numbers of people, so if there are far more people in the lowest income neighbourhoods the numbers don't mean anything.

Lockdowns may be the most regressive policy every invented. For Democrats to be the party of lockdown demonstrates where their values truly lie.

According to Toronto Public Health July, 2020 data, about half of the COVID19 cases reported were from low-income households. July data indicates that race may be a bigger issue albeit related to economy. Over 80% of cases prior to July were assoc w/ a "racialized" group.
