In a large Danish randomized trial, 1.8% of mask wearers and 2.1% non-mask wearers were infected with SARS-CoV-2, p=0.38. The 95% CI is compatible with a 46% reduction to a 23% increase in infection. Any word on severity of infection? One of the arguments advanced earlier was that masks reduced viral load and therefore severity of infection - any truth to this you think?

Mask wearing was never presented protecting the wearer but protecting others from asymptomatic wearers, catching small water droplets from infected speaking coughing or breathing....
